There are various kinds of aligner available now, but which one is better for children? I think there isn’t an one-size-fits-all answer. Instead one should take his children for a thorough check-up before deciding which type of braces suits their personal case.
Admittedly, chances are that different dentists will offer different treatment plans for even the same case. Some may suggest to wear a stainless steel braces, in particular for those with severe dental deformity, considering that it may produce a stable and decent result.
If the children are too young to well cooperate with their dentist, then a removable appliance would be a nice choice. It can be sought when the children are three or four, serving as an early treatment especially for deciduous underbite.
As for teenagers who perform much better in cooperation with dentists, they are advised to wear an invisible appliance which is quite popular nowadays. With the absence of wire and brackets, the clear braces are set to provide them with a more comfortable and aesthetic experience.
All in all, a final decision won’t be easily made until various factors, including degree of severity, financial condition and personal requirement on aesthetics, have been taken into consideration. You may as well seek a full check-up for your children first and consult with the orthodontist who is supposed to developed a customized treatment plan for you.
