Invisalign is a American brand of clear aligners which is made of clear plastic material and when worn they are virtually invisible and is currently one of the most popular orthodontic treatments. 3.      With both Invisalgin and lingual braces cause discomfort to begin with but Invisalign is slightly more comfortable for patients. Lingual braces can cause take more time for patients to adjust as they are fitted behind the teeth.

4.      Invisalign can be removed during meals and is easier to maintain dental hygiene whereas lingual braces can't be removed.

5.      Lingual braces are more durable than Invisalign as they are made of metal material. Invisalign retainers are made of plastic and can become discolored and damaged.

6.      Lingual braces can be used in more severe orthodontic cases whereas Invisalign cannot be used to treat complicated cases.

7.      For both Invisaglign and lingual braces, orthodontists need to be professionally trained and certified to carry out the treatment. In terms of results and effectiveness lingual braces are often the more popular choice.
