Angelalign is a Chinese brand of clear braces of which the users are increasing gradually. Since there are lots of patients who are interested in how it actually works, below we will introduce the treatment process step by step, and the possible problems you may encounter with.

Process of the treatment

Generally, the whole process starts with the selection of a right dentist, followed by a dental appointment and a dental visit.

1. During the first visit, the dentist will check your dental condition. You can show your latest dental X-ray films (if have) to the dentist. If you don’t have such radiographs, the dentist may take X-rays for you, as well as the photographs of your face and teeth, and dental impression, in order to examine the teeth misalignment. Besides, the dentist will also ask about your demands and physical condition.

2. About a week later, you can go back to the dentist to see the treatment plan. A 3D simulation animation will show you clearly how your teeth will move with the clear braces, how many steps there will be and how the teeth will move in each step, as well as how your teeth will look at the end of treatment. This can provide you a predicted treatemnt outcome.

3. Performance will be made in accordance with the treatment plan. But before that, any possible dental problems must be evaluated and treated first to ensure an enabling oral environment. For example, if you have wisdom teeth, you must have the dentist to evaluate whether extraction is needed; or if you are suffering from dental caries or periodontal disease, the disease should be treated first. As for tooth extraction, please note, a responsible dentist won’t extract the patient’s teeth blindly.

4. When the clear braces are produced, you will be called to the dental hospital for placement. It is normal that your teeth may feel tight and sore at first, and you will get used to it in 3 to 4 days. During the treatment, you must follow the dentist’s advice to wear braces everyday, pay follow-up visits on time and replace braces regularly. Once there’s any problem, contact the dentist immediately for prompt treatment.

5. Braces will be removed when the treatment is ended, but you still need to wear retainers, as it helps keep the teeth in place, ensuring long-term stability of orthodontic treatment outcome.
