Dental cleaning can wash away plaque and tartar that are irremovable by brushing and rinsing. Thus a lot of people count on dental cleaning for the maintenance of oral hygiene and teeth whitening, but actually a simple cleaning can hardly make it.

Teeth cleaning is not omnipotent. It may be able to remove the tobacco stains, tea stains and pigmentation that cover on the outer layer of the teeth, as well as plaque and tartar harbored in the mouth, but it doesn’t work for some stubborn stains.

One thing to be noted: teeth cleaning and whitening must be done in a licensed dental institution.

Chances are great that an unlicensed institution could do a poor job in dental cleaning, failing to remove tartar and pigments completely. If so, you’ll have to do a second cleaning in a professional institution. Otherwise, the poorly cleaned teeth which are not polished may become coarse on the surface, trapping food debris, bacteria and pigmens easily.
